New Racer, Need Help!:: Two more questions.
Tires-Tires-Tires the right tire is needed or forget it. No matter what brand if you don't have the right tire it's like driving on marbles. Associated or Losi your "race" choices. I thnk Hot Bodies have a truck too. If you put some good rubber on your Rustler you would be surprised how well it gets around the track. Should be in the mid.-low 40s/lap if that helps. High 50s-60s sec./lap at first but you'll work down quickly.
Have Fun

General:: The news is out about the Winter nat's
HAHA!

100% agree that the MTs cause controvercy. The electric MTs definitely have an advantage over their nitro counterparts. Because you cannot make a 1/8 buggy a battery with wheels there isn't an advantage in buggy. Electric 1/8s will spend more time on pit-lane than a nitro car, so there is no pit controversy.

It's odd that they opted for a slash class instead of the 1/12 class..but meh -- their race -- their rules.

Buy & Sell:: Savage X for Sale
Hey,

I have up for sale is a Savage X 4.6 with multiple upgrades. I am looking for $400 bucks. The motor has about 5 gallons on it. The truck had a complete rebuild a month ago and hasn't been run since. The truck right now is located at Cloud Climber Hobbies in St.Albert. So you can go see it there if you like. I work there so if you are interested come by and I might be there. If not I am sure Jason or Zack will give you my number. My email address is shanty140@hotmail.com. So if you want pictures and are interested, give me a email and I can get some for you. During the rebuild I put $300 more into and haven't run it since. The truck does need some longer linkage due to extending the truck and also a Radio and Receiver.

Here is a list of upgrades I have done to the truck:

- Innovative RC extended and low centre of gravity TVP's (Never Ran)
- Losi Zombie Tires on Maximizer Beadlock Wheels
- RPM A-Arms all around
- FLM Dogbones all around
- THS Racing Pipe
- Nova Cooling Head
- HS-5645MG Steering Servo
- HS-5625MG Throttle Servo
- Innovative RC Skid Plate
- Motor Saver Air Filter
- HPI Big Bore Shocks (Never Ran)
- OFNA 1600mah Hump Pack
- Futaba Charge Lean Adapter
- 3 Speed Tranny Conversion Set with High Speed Third Gear Upgrade (Never Ran)
- Aluminum Throttle Horn
- Power LED Light
- Brand New Body which Hasn't Been Run
- Comes with tons of spare parts and extra's (About $100 worth)
- Comes with half a gallon of Nitro Fuel
- Comes with battery for the Roto Start
- Comes with Ignitor
- OFNA linkage mod
- Bearing mod to steering posts
- Comes with Truck Stand
- I am sure theres more but just cant think of it all

If you have any questions give me an email. I am hoping not to have to ship out to anybody just because I know I don't have a big enough box and shipping would be through the roof.

General:: Can't decide which class, advice please?
The Rb motors are high on my list but I was thinking that I should keep the price reasonable while I am learning and wearing out the motor. The Nova is under $300 and should have decent life and reasonable performance. I wouldn't mind the RB RT but it's pricey. The Extech .24 looks interesting as well.

The other thought was I would buy the NR 28-3 rotostart version for the LST ( a lot less $ than RB RT which is too much motor for my kids first go) and the NR 28-7 for the truggy and then I would become reasonable at tuning these just by default having to tune two of them.

I guess we kind of turned this thread into motor discussion,oh well. Thanks for the ideas though.

Ken
